Masked identity
I first began taking the role of the fleneur exploring, observing and being observed by the city from different angles before shifting to the situationist drifting strategy. I applied it to my context leading myself through the city recognizing the bold brands that sticks out lodging themselves as memories of the paths that i navigated through the city.
In the photos that i have taken i wanted to display the sense of dominance and somewhat masked identity of owners behind brands. I photographed manikins through the store windows of high labeled brands, capturing reflections and their staunch posture. I photographed them like this to relate them to the owners of top labeled brands being masked, unnoticeable when the brands are persuading people into purchasing their goods. The lighting on the faces again shows the dominance and masked identity that they hold.
